San Francisco Bay wine

saw this in the grocery store and was dumbfounded....

I've been wine tasting in the Napa, Sonoma and Alexander Valleys of California, but never in the San Francisco Bay...and why is Livermore considered San Francisco Bay and not Central Valley?

I think because in theory it is connected by the BART via Dublin.

I don't know why its considered Bay Area, it ain't. But it ain't Central Valley either. It is in the Livermore Valley. Walnut Creek, Martinez, Antioch and for heaven's sake Tracy are also NOT Bay Area. If there are hills between you and the Bay, then you are not in the Bay Area, that's my rule of thumb.
